Dear Shiloh Family,
Over the past several months, we have moved through the planning stages to prepare for the construction of The Reverend Dr. S. Howard Woodson, Jr. Family Life Center (The Woodson Family Life Center) as Phase 1 of Shiloh’s Vision 2020 strategic plan.
It is now time for action in ministry! In keeping with our faith walk, we now move forward with the three year, $6 million Capital Campaign. This is a step-by-step plan-of-action toward making The Woodson Family Life Center a reality. We hope to kingdom build, inspired by our mission:
For the purpose of Kingdom building, Shiloh Baptist Church and friends will build the Rev. Dr. S. Howard Woodson, Jr. Family Life Center for the creation of:
- Jobs and Job Training;
- Community Recreation;
- Good Health and Wellness; and
- Arts and Education
All for the purpose of fortifying the community in a spiritual environment to the Glory of GOD.
We are spiritually-driven by our mantra, JESUS CHRIST GAVE ALL (J-C-G-A). Together, as a congregation, we can move forward in faith to embrace and meet this challenge! This faith challenge requires us to examine the role that Christian stewardship plays in our daily lives and our relationships, not just within our church, but within the communities in which we live and worship. We are encouraged to give back a portion of ourselves and our gifts to further the work of God’s kingdom.
This is an exciting time at Shiloh Baptist Church! God has blessed our church for more than 100 years, and we faithfully and eagerly look forward to what God has in store for us. It is only when all of us contribute that we all will be able to assist Shiloh in its mission to teach, serve, worship and minister to the community.
Thank you for all that you have done in the past for Shiloh. Shiloh is depending upon your prayerful consideration and financial support of this $6 million capital campaign to make the construction of the Woodson Family Life Center possible.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
The Capital Campaign Steering Committee
